Athletics
Each year, the Brisbane Water PSSA Athletics Carnival is held during term 3, at the Mingara Regional Athletics Centre. Schools will conduct their own athletics carnival before this date and select students to attend the BWPSSA carnival.
Students will compete in 1500m, 800m, 200m, 100m and 4 x 100m relay track events and long jump, high jump, discus and shot put field events. The 100m event will be run in each age group e.g. 8yrs, 9yrs etc. Every other track and field event will be held in junior (8, 9 & 10yrs), 11yrs and senior (12 & 13yrs) groups.
Multi-class athletes are invited and encouraged to participate in this carnival for their respective events.
In 2024, the Brisbane Water PSSA carnival will be held on Friday 30th August (term 3, week 6).
The Sydney North PSSA carnival, will be held on Monday 23rd September (term 3, week 10).
The NSW PSSA carnival, will be held on Wednesday 23rd & Thursday 24th October (term 4, week 2).
